Transfer 11, Week 6

I'm sitting on some grass by some palm trees right next to the ocean at the base of a mountain with a castle on top of it right this minute. It's sweet!!

On to the work. Miracles are everywhere! It's hard to remember what I want to say every week because there's so much haha.

We weren't able to see Aurelia this week because she was busy so no updates on her. But we did teach a lesson to Sonia and guess what: she's still reading the Book of Mormon! It has been AMAZING to see how seriously she has been taking the counsel that was given to her in her blessing. She's also been praying to know if what we're teaching her is true, and she had a couple questions from last time about the Plan of Salvation that we were able to answer. We started the Gospel of Jesus Christ and will be finishing it this week.

You might remember that we had an investigator named Marco a while back. He's dating a member in our ward but we had problems with him and dropped him. And then two weeks ago we challenged him to pray every day for his extremely sick cat and not only has he been doing it, it's changed him significantly!! In the past he had no desire to read the Book of Mormon, and now he's asking us to assign him verses to read!!! He comes to church every Sunday and he's super happy every time he sees us! We also found out that the anziani would come to his house and teach the lessons, and this was almost 10 years ago! The Lord is working with him and He wants us to keep trying. It's been such a joy to see Marco progress. :)

We fasted this weekend for our investigators and less-actives. We got to a point where we didn't know what to do for them, but now we're receiving revelation for them and we're back on our feet. :)

It has been such a privilege to start working with Anziano Borden and Anziano Zappettini as our new zone leaders! I have a firm testimony that transfers are inspired! We needed their fire and wisdom so so much, and things have already started to improve since they got here. They are so diligent and loving towards everyone and very humble, despite their strengths and knowledge. I'm deeply grateful to the Lord for taking care of us through them, and I know there will be many miracles this transfer thanks to their example. :)

I can't remember any funny stories from this week buuuut... Sorella Bicchierri keeps things alive with her humor and we are having such a great time serving together! Enough said. :)

We're visiting a family in the ward tonight to meet two German girls they're hosting for the next couple weeks!! We planned on teaching them the Restoration in English, which will be a whole new experience for Sorella Bicchierri, so we practiced this morning and she's learning

fast! I'm excited to report back on that next week!

This Easter season has been giving me a lot to think about. I know the Savior lives and that this is His work. I've never felt as close to Him as I have on my mission. I'm grateful for His sacrifice and for the privilege I have to bear testimony of Him to the people of Italy.

He has changed my life and the lives of the people around me. I love the gospel and I love my mission! That being said... Happy Easter to everyone! Remember who it's about. :)

Sono seduta sull'erba vicino ad alcune palme proprio vicino al mare ai piedi di una montagna con un castello sulla cima in questo momento. Che bello!!!

E ora il lavoro. Miracoli dappertutto! È difficile ricordare quello che voglio dire ogni settimana perché c'è tanto ahah.

Non abbiamo potuto vedere Aurelia questa settimana perché era impegnata quindi non ci sono aggiornamenti su di lei. Ma abbiamo insegnato una lezione a Sonia e indovinate un po' : sta ancora leggendo il Libro di Mormon! È stato INCREDIBILE vedere quanto seriamente abbia preso il consiglio che le è stato dato nella benedizione. Sta anche pregando per sapere se quello che le diciamo sia vero e aveva anche un paio di domande da farci dalla volta scorsa riguardo al Piano di Salvezza a cui abbiamo potuto rispondere. Abbiamo iniziato il Vangelo di Gesù Cristo e lo finiremo questa settimana.

Probabilmente ricorderete che avevamo un simpatizzante che si chiama Marco un po' di tempo fa. Esce con un membro del nostro rione ma abbiamo avuto dei problemi con lui e lo abbiamo lasciato. E poi, due settimane fa lo abbiamo sfidato a pregare ogni giorno per il suo gatto che era molto malato e non solo lo ha fatto, ma ciò lo ha cambiato visibilmente!! In passato non aveva alcun desiderio di leggere il Libro di Mormon  e ora ci chiede di assegnargli dei versetti da leggere!!! Viene in chiesa ogni domenica ed è arcicontento ogni volta che ci vede! Abbiamo anche scoperto che gli anziani andavano a casa sua ad insegnargli le lezioni e questo è stato  10 anni fa! Il Signore sta lavorando con lui e Lui vuole che noi continuamo a provare. È stata una tale gioia vedere Marco progredire. :)

Abbiamo digiunato questo fine settimana per i nostri simpatizzanti e membri meno attivi. Eravamo arrivate a un punto in cui non sapevamo cosa fare per loro ma ora stiamo ricevendo rivelazioni per loro e siamo di nuovo in gareggiata. :)

È stato un tale privilegio cominciare a lavorare con Anziano Borden e Anziano Zappettini, i nostri nuovi capizona! Ho una ferma testimonianza che questi trasferimenti sono stati ispirati! Avevamo bisogno del loro ardore e della loro saggezza così così tanto e le cose hanno cominciato a migliorare da quando sono arrivati. Sono così diligenti e amorevoli verso tutti e molto umili, nonostante la loro forza e la loro conoscenza. Sono molto grata al Signore perché si prende cura di noi tramite loro e so che ci saranno tanti miracoli questo trasferimento grazie la loro esempio. :)

Non ricordo nessuna storia buffa di questa settimana maaa... Sorella Bicchierri mantiene attiva la nostra vitalità con il suo senso dell'umorismo e ci stiamo tanto divertendo a servire insieme! Ho detto tutto. :)

Andremo a trovare una famiglia del nostro rione stasera per incontrare due ragazze tedesche che stanno ospitando per le prossime due settimane!! Abbiamo programmato di insegnare a loro la Restaurazione in inglese, il che sarà tutta una nuova esperienza per Sorella Bicchierri, così abbiamo praticato stamattina e sta imparando velocemente! Sono emozionata all'idea di farvi sapere com'è andata la prossima settimana!

Questo periodo pasquale mi ha dato molto da pensare. So che il Salvatore vive e che questa è la Sua opera. Non mi sono mai sentita così vicina a Lui come durante la mia missione. Sono grata per il Suo sacrificio e per il privilegio che ho di portare testimonianza di Lui alla gente d'Italia. Lui ha cambiato la mia vita e la vita di coloro accanto a me. Amo il vangelo e amo la mia missione! Detto cio'... Buona Pasqua a tutti! Ricordate chi celebriamo. :)
