Transfer 13, Week 3

Note: The names of the investigators have been changed

I don't have too much to report this week but a BIG miracle did happen: Sonia finally came to church!!! :) She loved it! And she felt the Spirit! She could only stay for sacrament meeting but we are still so grateful that she had the chance to participate, even for just an hour! Our goal is to help her pray for a baptismal date this week. :)

This past Tuesday I went to my last zone conference. And what a wonderful experience it was! President and Sister Waddoups and the assistants focused all of their training on the Restoration. It was truly inspired! When we want things in the Lord's work to improve we don't add to what we've already been doing. We go back to the basics. The Restoration is the unique message that we bring to the world. If we take our focus away from that, we become no different from any other Christian religion. Since this zone conference we've become more diligent in sharing this message with people wherever we go, and we stand all amazed at the miracles we've seen!

Yesterday I said my goodbyes to the members of the Church here in Cagliari. It was really bittersweet. I'm so grateful to God for having given me the opportunity to get to know and love them over the course of the last five months. They all have their personal struggles, and yet their faith is unshakeable! They're united, they're hardworking, and they look out for each other. They're the ward family I needed for the last third of my mission. :) I will miss them terribly.

This Saturday Anziano Zappettini and I are flying out to Rome to join with the other 16 missionaries who will be going home this transfer. It's been a wild ride here in Cagliari, and I really think I've grown more here than in the other cities I've served in. I suppose the Lord wanted me to sprint to the finish line. :)

I'm excited for this week! It's my last chance to work in the Lord's vineyard, so I'm going to thrust in my sickle with might and with an eye single to the glory of God! Wish me luck :)

                             TRADUZIONE IN ITALIANO

Auguratemi buona fortuna :)
