Transfer 12, Week 5

Note: The names of the investigators have been changed

I'm staying in Cagliari for my last transfer!!!!!! Sorella Bicchierri and I have become a real team these last three months. I'm so glad I don't have to let go of her just yet. :) Sadly Anziano Bertoldo is leaving us for Statte. He'll be missed. But nobody else is leaving Cagliari so this is a good thing. :) Anziano Segura will be taking Anziano Bertoldo's place. He was in my zone when I was serving in Ragusa, he's a cool guy! We're excited to have him here!

Other transfer news: Sorella Holiday (my first greenie, I served with her in Ragusa) is TRAINING!!!! I'm so proud of her! She'll be an amazing trainer!!!!!

So, we were able to see almost all of our investigators and less-actives this week! And we have already set up five appointments for the new week with potential investigators, most of which are from English Course! This last transfer I've really noticed how great of a finding tool English Course is when used correctly. I'm deeply grateful for Anziano Borden and Anziano Zappettini for helping us be more organized. :)

Miracle of the week: Francesca. Last week we were ringing doorbells in our neighborhood and she opened the door to see who it was. She was interested enough to invite us to come back another time and when we came back this past Tuesday she let us in!! We had left her a pamphlet about Joseph Smith but she hadn't found the time to read it so we read together and then set up a return appointment! She used to teach religion classes so she is very open and curious about the Church. When we went back she wasn't home so we'll stop by tonight and see if she's there. If we're able to keep teaching her this will be one of the biggest miracles on my mission.

I had an amazing scambio (companion exchange) with Sorella Clark and Sorella Bonzo this week! When I was with Sorella Clark we talked to a lot of really friendly people on the street! Several of them approached us first, including a girl who used to be taught by sisters a couple years ago! I was also able to help teach one of Sorella Clark and Sorella Bonzo's new investigators with Sorella Clark, and we invited her to be baptized! She gifted us some keychains before we left! Sorella Clark and I stopped for cupcakes and milkshakes after that lesson, we were in such a good mood. :) The next day I went to the questura with Sorella Bonzo for her permesso and while we were there we talked to three people about the church!! One of them was a college student from India who recognized our name tags! He's 25 years old, and he's studying at a university in Italy but is currently working in Cagliari. We invited him to the two baptisms our ward had on Saturday and he came!!! We got his number and will be teaching him a lesson this Tuesday!!!

I would write more about our lessons but we did so many my brain is melting... :o) Luckily skype calls home happen next week (on Mother's Day) so I'll be able to use my voice to tell stories for a change! So excited!! Which reminds me. Happy birthday to my dad, his birthday is this Saturday. :)

It's a blessing and a privilege to be serving here. I'm learning so much and I'm amazed at how much the Lord has granted me! This is truly His work!
