STAYING IN ROME 5 WITH SORELLA MARGHERITIIIII!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 

WICKED WICKED STOKED! THIS IS SO GREAT!!! I FEEL SO BLESSED!!!!!

Anziano Hatch called to tell us (he's one of the assistants to Presidente Waddoups) and he messed with us for like 15 minutes before telling us what the actual verdict was. Hahaha but there's more!! Sorella Margheriti is the new STL (Sister Training Leader, it's the female equivalent of a Zone Leader :D) and that means we're going on scambi with all the sorelle in Rome East! THAT MEANS WE'RE GOING TO PESCARA THIS TRANSFER!!!!!!!!!! Like could things possibly be any better?!?!? We are so happy!!!!! We did a lot of praying to thank Heavenly Father for keeping us together because He's the one who decides where we go, not Presidente. :)

We celebrated with bananas and peanut butter. Mom, I hope you're proud of our health-streak. Hahaha

Anziano Bellows is staying in Rome 5 but Anziano Gardenhire is getting transferred to Sciacca!!! It's his dream come true!! His ancestors are from there so he's always wanted to serve there!!! I hope he stays there for his last two transfers. :) Anyway, Anziano Stumps will be Anziano Bellows's new comp. He's coming up from Agrigento. I don't know who he is but he's gonna be district leader and this will be his last transfer on the mission. Lots of changes!!!

OKAY, LAST BIT OF TRANSFER NEWS. ANZIANO ROMANO IS GETTING TRANSFERRED TO TERNI. WHICH IS PART OF MY DISTRICT. I'M STILL FREAKING OUT ABOUT IT. I always hoped we'd get to see each other during our missions but I didn't think it was going to happen cuz he doesn't have many transfers left!!! (Two or three) Not everybody gets to serve in the same zone as one of their childhood friends!!!! So I did a lot of thanking Heavenly Father for that too, haha. :) Our first district meeting together will be next Tuesday (not tomorrow, the week after) and there will definitely be pictures! :))) 

So yeah, his week was SOO GOOD!! I loved Zone Conference!! You guys probably saw the pictures. :) We talked about faith and how it will help us in the work. And us Rome 5 missionaries had a great experierence with our musical number!!! Also, they give us REALLY GOOD SANDWICHES at Zone Conference. It's like pork, potatoes, peppers, mushrooms, and lots of olive oil... Mmmmm. :D

As for our investigators, we have... FIVE NEW ONES!!!!!! Yes! I'm not kidding! One is Bertina, the Albanian lady with two little kids. We taught her the Restoration and she was ALL ears, she loved everything. She wants to meet with us again! The second and third are the two Jehovah's Witnesses that were teaching Rita a while ago. The encounter with them wasn't very good but we learned more about them and what they believe so hopefully with some help from the Spirit they'll be more open. The fourth is Marta, Sara's sister!!! And this is a TOTAL miracle because she passed by Sara's house while we were teaching her and Marta wanted to listen so she stayed! We were with Sorella Marataro and she invited Marta and Sara to go to church with her right away! Sara was iffy about it but to our surprise Marta accepted! They set up a meeting time and place and everything for the carpool!!!! And sure enough, Sunday morning she was there!!!  Marta loved hearing everyone's testimonies during Sacrament Meeting and she enjoyed the classes afterwards. Even better, she wants to come back next week with sorella Marataro!!!!!

This experience taught me two things: one, members are POWERFUL in helping the work move a long and two, the Lord will ALWAYS find a way to bring His children into His Church if they are open to it. We feel so blessed to be part of Marta's experience with the gospel and we're praying that she'll want to know more. :))

Our last new investigator is Matteo, Alfonso's son! We didn't count him last time because it was only the first time we'd met with him but having seen him with Alfonso for a second time, he's become an investigator too. And holy man, this lesson we had on Saturday with them went SO WELL. We brought Francesco (one of our branch missionaries/sorella Marataro's son) with us because he's talked to a lot of JWs and has had good experiences with them. From the beginning we sensed that Alfonso was more friendly than usual. He asked us what we'd prepared for them and we ended up letting him ask us what he wanted to know. We talked about Heavenly Father's plan for us and how much He loves us! Francesco bore powerful testimony of Him and Jesus Christ and we were able to feel the Spirit!!!!! Alfonso didn't bring up any objections this time, just honest questions. He wanted to know what we believe!! He would pause between our response and his next question and we could see that he was paying more attention than the other times that we saw him. Matteo didn't say much but he was listening too. Basically, we are really happy about how this lesson went. And we're able to see Alfonso as a friend now rather than someone who just wants to clash heads with us! I'm still amazed at how things went. :)))

On Saturday we went to Rome for a stake women's conference. It was great! There were a lot of sister missionaries there and we saw some members that we knew and the activity really brought the Spirit. I love the members of this mission. They really have so much faith. :)

Too many things to say and not enough time! All I can say is that I LOVE this work and that I feel so incredibly blessed to be here with my companion and all these amazing people. I'm really learning how to count my blessings. I invite all of you to do the same! It will really help you feel the love that Heavenly Father has for each and every one of you, I can promise you that.

SUPER SUPER EMOZIONATA! TROPPO BELLO!!! MI SENTO COSI' BENEDETTA!!!!

Anziano Hatch ci ha telefonato per farcelo sapere (e' uno degli assistenti del Presidente Waddoups) e si e' divertito a dirci cose non vere per 15 minuti prima di dirci quale era il giusto trasferimento. Ahahah! Ma c'e' di piu'!! Sorella Margheriti e' la nuova STL ( Sister Training Leader, e' il corrispettivo femminile di Capo Zona :D) e questo significa che andremo a fare gli scambi con tutte le sorelle di Roma Est! QUESTO SIGNIFICA CHE ANDREMO A PESCARA DURANTE QUESTO TRASFERIMENTO!!!!!!!! Come non potrebbero andare meglio le cose?!?!?! Siamo cosi' felici !!!!!!!

Abbiamo pregato un sacco per ringraziare il Padre Celeste di averci fatto restare insieme perche' e' Lui che decide dove andiamo, non il Presidente. :)

Abbiamo celebrato con banane e burro di arachidi. Mamma, spero tu sia fiera di come  mangiamo costantemente in maniera salutare. Ahahah!

Anziano Bellows rimane a Roma 5 ma Anziano Gardenhire e' stato trasferito a Sciacca!!! Era il suo sogno!! I suoi antenati sono di Sciacca e aveva sempre desiderato poter servire li'!!! Spero che possa rimanervi per i suoi ultimi due trasferimenti. :) Comunque, Anziano Stumps sara' il nuovo collega di Anziano Bellows. Viene da Agrigento. Non lo conosco ma sara' il capo distretto e questo sara' il suo ultimo trasferimento in missione. Un sacco di cambiamenti!!!

OKAY, L'ULTIMA NOTIZIA SUI TRASFERIMENTI. ANZIANO ROMANO E' STATO TRASFERITO A TERNI CHE FA PARTE DEL MIO DISTRETTO. SONO ANCORA TUTTA IN SUBBUGLIO PER QUESTA NOTIZIA. Ho sempre sperato di poterci vedere durante la missione ma non pensavo che sarebbe accaduto perche' non gli rimangono molti trasferimenti!!! ( Due o tre). Non tutti hanno la possibilita' di servire nella stessa zona con uno degli amici di infanzia!!!! Cosi' ho ringraziato molto il Padre Celeste anche per quello, ahah. :) La nostra prossima riunione di distretto sara' martedi' prossimo (non domani, tra una settimana) e ci saranno sicuramente delle foto! : )))

Questa settimana e' stata COSI' BELLA!! La Conferenza di Zona e' stata speciale!!! Avrete probabilmente visto le foto. :) Abbiamo parlato della fede e come questa ci aiuta nel lavoro. E noi missionari di Roma 5 abbiamo avuto un'esperienza incredibile con il nostro numero musicale!!! Ci hanno dato anche dei PANINI BUONISSIMI alla Conferenza di Zona. C'erano  dentro salame, patate, peperoni, funghi e un sacco di olio d'oliva. Mmmmm. :D

Per quanto riguarda i nostri investigatori ne abbiamo.. CINQUE NUOVI!!!!! Si', non sto scherzando! Una e' Bertina, una donna albanese con due bambini. Le abbiamo insegnato la Restaurazione ed era TUTTA orecchie, le piaceva tutto. Ci vuole incontrare di nuovo! Il secondo e il terzo sono i due Testimoni di Geova che stavano insegnando a Rita un po' di tempo fa. L'incontro con loro non e' stato molto buono ma abbiamo imparato a conoscerli meglio e a capire quello in cui credono cosi' forse con l'aiuto dello Spirito saranno piu' aperti. Il quarto e' Marta, la sorella di Sara!!! E questo e' PROPRIO un miracolo perche' e' passata da Sara mentre stavamo insegnando e Marta ha voluto ascoltare ed e' rimasta! Eravamo con sorella Marataro e lei ha invitato subito Marta e Sara ad andare in chiesa con lei! Sara e' stata un po' recalcitrante ma, con nostra sorpresa, Marta ha accettato! Si sono messe d'accordo su dove e quando si sarebbero viste per un passaggio!!!! E, manco a dirlo, domenica mattina era li'!!! A Marta e' piaciuto ascoltare le testimonianze durante la Riunione Sacramentale e le sono piaciute le classi seguenti. Anche meglio, vuole tornare domenica prossima con sorella Marataro!!!

Questa esperienza mi ha insegnato due cose: primo, i membri sono POTENTI nell'aiutare il lavoro a procedere e secondo, il Signore trovera' sempre il modo di portare i Suoi figli nella Sua Chiesa se sono aperti a questo. Ci sentiamo cosi' benedette di essere parte dell'esperienza di Franca con il Vangelo e preghiamo che vorra' saperne di piu'. : ))

Il nostro ultimo investigatore e' Matteo, il figlio di Alfonso! Non lo abbiamo contato l'ultima volta perche' era solo la prima volta che lo incontravamo ma siccome lo abbiamo visto una seconda volta con Alfonso lo consideriamo un investigatore ora. E, mamma mia, la lezione che abbiamo fatto con lui sabato e' andata COSI' BENE. Abbiamo portato Francesco (uno dei nostri missionari di ramo/ il figlio di sorella Marataro) con noi perche' lui ha parlato con un sacco di Testimoni di Geova ed ha avuto buone esperienze con loro. Dall'inizio abbiamo sentito che Alfonso era piu' amichevole del solito. Ci ha chiesto che cosa avevamo preparato per loro e abbiamo finito con il far chiedere a  lui che cosa voleva sapere da noi. Abbiamo parlato del piano del nostro Padre Celeste e quanto ci ama! Francesco ha portato una possente testimonianza di Lui e di Gesu' Cristo e abbiamo sentito lo Spirito!!!!! Alfonso non ha obiettato nulla questa volta, solo domande oneste. Voleva davvero sapere in cosa credevamo!! Si soffermava tra la nostra risposta e la sua domanda successiva e abbiamo notato che prestava piu' attenzione delle altre volte. Matteo non ha detto molto perche' stava ascoltando anche lui. In pratica siamo molto contente di come sia andata la lezione. E ora lo vediamo piu' come un amico che come qualcuno che vuole solo scontrarsi con noi! Sono ancora meravigliata per come siano andate le cose. :))))

Sabato siamo andate a Roma per la conferenza di palo delle donne. E' stata bella! C'erano un sacco di sorelle missionarie li' e abbiamo visto alcuni membri che conoscevamo e l'attivita' ha portato davvero lo Spirito. Amo i membri di questa missione. Hanno davvero tanta fede. :)

Troppe cose da dire e non molto tempo! Tutto cio' che posso dire e' che AMO questo lavoro e mi sento cosi' incredibilmente benedetta ad essere qui con la mia collega e tutte queste persone speciali. Sto davvero imparando a contare le mie benedizioni. Vi invito tutti a fare lo stesso! Vi aiutera' davvero a sentire l'amore che il Padre Celeste ha per ognuno di voi, questo ve lo posso promettere.

Transfer 2, Week 4

Ahhhh transfer calls are THIS Saturday... I'm freaking out. I wrote Presidente Waddoups and told him that my comp and I have been praying a lot to stay together another transfer... By the time you all hear from me again we'll know our fate. No pressure right???

First things first, we found out that Elder Bednar (a member of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints) is coming to Rome April 28!!!! All the missionaries are invited! Elder Bednar's going to explain how to use iPads in the mission so that must mean we're getting them soon!!!! We are SO excited!!!! Know that there was a fair deal of freaking out on our part. :)

We're really looking forward to Zone Conference tomorrow! Rome 5 has been preparing a little musical number so we're excited for that too! Pictures next week. :)

This week was good! We met with the Jehovah's Witnesses again and we brought Maylen Garcia with us. This time Alfonso brought his son Matteo. He's probably our age and was very nice. We taught them a little more about the Restoration and Alfonso had a lot of questions, but he listened a more this time! We bore testimony often of what we said and Maylen did too. It was a powerful experience and we left feeling really good about what we'd said. Hopefully things will keep progressing with them. Who knows!

As for the other investigators, we haven't been able to see Sara yet. We haven't left Rita but she's not progressing. We're still trying to figure it out. We'll see what happens.

Vito and Melania both accepted a baptismal invite though! They're not sure about the date but we've gotten this far with them and it's super good news. Now we just have to get them to church.

Yesterday during our finding in Monterotondo we talked to a guy our age from Moldavia  named Vladimir. He speaks five languages!!! Russian, Spanish, Greek, Romanian, and Ukrainian!!!! Gah!!! Those are all SUPER HARD!!! He was really sweet, he didn't speak much Italian so he communicated with little words and hand gestures and mostly Spanish. Hahaha! He took like three brochures about the Gospel in Russian and he started reading them right away so we hope he'll look into the Church. :) 

Right after that we talked to a 64-year-old woman named Lucia who had run away from home because she was sick of everybody and wanted to be alone. The whole conversation was really, really sad. She cried a little bit and we felt so sorry for her. She said she'd been homeless for two days and that she didn't have a single cent left in her wallet. She was thinking about going to a relative's house in Rome but she wasn't sure.

It's so sad to find people in these kinds of situations. You could walk by someone who's suffering more than you could ever know and you wouldn't be able to tell. Concetta was really grateful for the time we spent with her and when we walked past the place she had been sitting an hour or so later she was gone, so we hope she went to a relative's house like she said.

We stopped a grandpa named Lauro! I didn't know that name existed! It's the guy version of Laura but I'd never heard it before. Lauro worked with an agency that identifies fraud or something so he's developed this huge distrust of mankind and he gave us all sorts of warning against trusting people and especially religious leaders. We wished he could see how the leaders in the LDS church conform to the standards God has set for His Church but he was very firm in his beliefs so we respected that. He accepted a pass-along card of the temple in Rome and we talked to him about genealogy and the Family Search website so maybe this will help convince him to explore the Church! Who knows. :)

Ahhhh i trasferimenti sono QUESTO sabato... Panico! Ho scritto al Presidente Waddoups e gli ho detto che che io e la mia collega abbiamo pregato molto di poter rimanere insieme un altro trasferimento... La prossima volta che avrete mie notizie saprete qual e' stata la mia sorte. Non che vi voglia mettere ansia, giusto???

Innanzi tutto abbiamo scoperto che Anziano Bednar (un membro del Quorum dei Dodici Apostoli della Chiesa Di Gesu' Cristo Dei Santi Degli Ultimi Giorni) verra' a Roma il 28 Aprile!!! Tutti i missionari sono invitati! L'Anziano Bednar spieghera' come usare gli iPad in missione cioe' questo vuol dire che li avremo presto!!!!! Siamo cosi' emozionati!!!!! Sappiate che ci siamo tutti molto gasati per questa notizia. :)

Non vediamo l'ora che arrivi domani per via della Conferenza di Zona! Roma 5 sta preparando un piccolo numero musicale cosi' siamo molto emozionate anche per quello! Le foto le vedrete la prossima settimana :)

Questa settimana e' stata buona! Ci siamo incontrate di nuovo con i Testimoni di Geova e abbiamo portato Maylen Garcia con noi. Questa volta Alfonso ha portato suo figlio Matteo. Ha forse la nostra eta' ed era molto simpatico. Abbiamo approfondito la Restaurazione e Alfonso aveva un sacco di domande ma ha anche ascoltato di piu' questa volta! Abbiamo portato spesso testimonianza di cio' che sapevamo e lo ha fatto anche Maylen. E' stata un'esperienza possente e ce ne siamo andate sentendoci molto bene riguardo cio' che avevamo detto. Speriamo che le cose continuino ad andare bene con loro, chissa'!

Per quanto riguarda gli altri investigatori non abbiamo visto Sara ancora. Non abbiamo lasciato Rita ma non sta progredendo. Stiamo ancora cercando di capire. Vedremo quello che succedera'.

Vito e Melania hanno pero' entrambi accettato un invito battesimale! Non sono ancora sicuri della data ma siamo arrivati fino a questo punto con loro ed e' davvero una notizia eccezionale. Ora dobbiamo solo portarli in chiesa.

Ieri a Monterotondo abbiamo parlato con un ragazzo della nostra eta' della Moldavia che si chiama Vladimir. Parla cinque lingue!!! Russo, spagnolo, greco, rumeno e ucraino!!!! Ah! E tutte queste sono DIFFICILISSIME!!! Era molto dolce, non parlava molto l'italiano cosi' comunicava con poche parole e a gesti, per lo piu' in spagnolo. Ahahah! Ha preso tre volantini sul Vangelo in russo e ha cominciato a leggerli li' per li', cosi' speriamo che sia interessato alla chiesa. :)

Subito dopo abbiamo parlato ad una donna di 64 anni che si chiama Lucia che era scappata di casa perche' non sopportava piu' nessuno e voleva stare da sola. Tutta la nostra conversazione e' stata molto, molto triste. Ha pianto un po' e ci siamo sentite male per lei. Ha detto che e' stata senzatetto per due giorni e che non aveva neanche piu' un centesimo. Stava pensando di andare da un parente a Roma ma non era sicura.

E' cosi' triste trovare persone in queste situazioni. Si puo' passare vicino a una persona che sta soffrendo piu' di quanto si possa immaginare senza neanche rendersene conto. Concetta e' stata molto contenta del tempo che abbiamo passato con lei e quando siamo ripassate dal posto in cui e' stata seduta per piu' o meno un'ora non c'era piu', cosi' speriamo che sia andata da quel suo parente come aveva detto.

Abbiamo fermato un nonno che si chiama Lauro! Non sapevo che esistesse quel nome! E' la versione maschile di Laura ma non lo avevo sentito prima. Lauro lavora per un'agenzia che investiga le frodi o qualcosa di simile cosi' ha sviluppato una grossa sfiducia per l'umanita' e ci ha dato ogni sorta di avvertimenti contro il fidarsi della gente e specialmente dei capi religiosi. Avremmo voluto che potesse vedere come i dirigenti della Chiesa Di Gesu' Cristo Dei Santi Degli Ultimi seguono gli standard che Dio ha posto per la Sua Chiesa ma lui era molto fermo nelle sue convinzioni e noi le abbiamo rispettate. Ha accettato una figurina del tempio di Roma e abbiamo parlato con lui della genealogia e del sito di Family Search cosi' forse questo lo convincera' ad investigare di piu' la Chiesa! Chissa'. :)

Questo e' tutto cio' che posso dire di importante per questa settimana. Le foto diranno il resto ( ne ho a  bizzeffa, quindi preparatevi!). Alla prossima!

Here she is getting her stuff! /Ale è stata a casa di Sorella Margheriti la settimana scorsa quindi i genitori di Sorella Margheriti hanno mandato Ale a casa con un pacco pieno di cibo e dolcetti per la loro figlioletta! :) Eccola che ritira il contenuto!

Transfer 2, Week 3

As of right now I'm kinda sad because I've already hit the halfway point in this transfer and once it's over Sorella Margheriti and I could be separated... Transfer calls are coming up so I'm really hoping for one more transfer together!! We'll see!!

This week was a bit slow compared to last week. A lot of our contacts either didn't pick up the phone or were busy. :( It stinks when that happens but it's just another part of missionary work! In the meantime we're still talking to a lot of people on the street. We had 54 conversations this week even without the extra boost from companion exchanges!!! So that's always good. :)

Highlight of this week: we're teaching two Jehovah's Witnesses.  We started talking to them, completely unaware of who they were. They told us they were JWs but they were nice to us and they did start questioning a lot of what we believe in buuut it wasn't aggressive or demeaning. They wanted to meet with us to learn more so that's exactly what we did! We taught them an informal lesson on Saturday. They both have a copy of the Book of Mormon now. They were pretty interested in reading it. They had a lot of not-very-approving things to say about it/our faith but we can see that they want to understand why we believe what we believe so that's a start! One of them is named Adelmo but I can't remember the other one's name... He's pretty quiet. Anyway, hopefully we'll see good things from them. Who knows!

I kind of forgot that Saturday was Valentine's Day. :D There doesn't seem to be so much hype for it around here or maybe us missionaries are just oblivious? Hahaha. :) But we did get a little gift that day from the daughter of a man named Luca who we stopped in a park! Olimpia (she's 10) was making little wreaths with some daisies and she gave them to us while we were talking to Luca. They're catholic but they want to come to church next Sunday! We have Luca's number so we're REALLY hoping they'll come. They were so sweet and friendly to us. :)

This week we have a huuuge goal to visit more families in our branch. We're super determined to improve our friendships with them because we know they need to be able to trust the missionaries!! And they're all amazing people so who wouldn't want to get to know them better? :)

We were FINALLY able to see Vera this past week but she doesn't seem very interested in coming to church... or in doing any of the other things we've invited her to do. We might have to do the "Do or Die" lesson this week... Basically you tell a non-progressing investigator that you can't keep teaching them. It would be my first so I'm not really looking forward to it. Then again nobody looks forward to those. Leaving an investigator is ridiculously hard. So we're going to do our best to be gentle and loving and if we have to stop teaching Vera we'll still visit her every once in a while. 

We might have to do the same with Precious. She has been reading a little from the Book of Mormon but she hasn't really been able to understand that even though there are many good churches in the world, only one has the fulness of the Gospel and is led by Jesus Christ Himself. It's been frustrating for us because we've felt the Spirit VERY strongly while teaching her (and she's felt it too) but it seems like every time we take a step forward with her she falls back twice as many. We love her and we're great friends with her but we're thinking the lessons have to come to a close. Again, we'll see what happens. 

There's a bit of sad news. But I still love the mission of course! With the bad must come the good. I'm excited to see what this week will bring. :) Alla prossima! Until next time!

Ora come ora sono un po' triste perche' ho gia' raggiunto la meta' di questo trasferimento e quando sara' finito io e sorella Margheriti potremmo essere separate... Le telefonate con i trasferimenti stanno per arrivare e io spero di poter rimanere insieme per un altro trasferimento ancora!! Vedremo!!

Questa settimana e' stata un po' lenta rispetto a quella scorsa... Un sacco di nostri contatti non hanno risposto alle nostre telefonate o erano troppo impegnati. : (E' antipatico quando succede questo ma e' semplicemente un'altra parte del lavoro missionario! Nel frattempo parliamo ancora con molte persone per la strada. Abbiamo fatto 54 conversazioni questa settimana anche senza l'aiuto degli scambi di colleghe!!! Cosi' quella e' sempre una cosa buona. :)

Momento saliente della settimana: stiamo insegnando a due Testimoni di Geova. Abbiamo cominciato a parlare con loro completamente ignare di chi fossero. Ci hanno detto che erano Testimoni di Geova ma erano gentili con noi e ci hanno fatto un sacco di domande su cio' che crediamo ma non in maniera aggressiva o degradante. Hanno voluto incontrarsi con noi di nuovo per saperne di piu' ed e' proprio quello che abbiamo fatto! Abbiamo insegnato a loro in maniera informale sabato. Hanno entrambi una copia del libro di Mormon ora. Erano molto interessati a leggerlo. Avevano un sacco di cose da ridire su cio' che crediamo  ma si vedeva che volevano capire in  che cosa crediamo e perche', cosi' quello e' un punto di partenza! Uno si chiama Adelmo  ma non ricordo il nome dell'altro... E' un tipo taciturno. Comunque, forse verra' fuori qualcosa di buono da loro. Chissa'!

Ho praticamente dimenticato che sabato e' stato il giorno di San Valentino. :D Non sembra che ci sia molto entusiasmo qui per questa occorrenza o forse siamo noi missionari che non ci pensiamo cosi' tanto? Ahahah. :) Ma abbiamo avuto un regalino quel giorno dalla figlia di un uomo che si chiama Luca che abbiamo fermato in un parco! Olimpia ( ha 10 anni) stava facendo delle coroncine con delle margherite e ce le ha regalate mentre parlavamo con Luca. Sono cattolici ma vogliono venire in chiesa domenica! Abbiamo il numero di Luca cosi' VERAMENTE speriamo che possano venire. Sono stati cosi' dolci e amichevoli con noi. :)

Questa settimana abbiamo il GROSSO obiettivo di visitare piu' famiglie nel nostro ramo. Siamo piu' che determinate a migliorare la nostra amicizia con loro perche' sappiamo che devono potersi fidare dei missionari!! E sono tutti cosi' speciali quindi chi non vorrebbe conoscerli meglio? :)

Siamo finalmente riuscite  a vedere Vera questa settimana ma non sembra molto interessata a venire in chiesa... o a fare nessuna delle altre cose che l'abbiamo invitata a fare. Potremmo essere costrette a fare la lezione della "o la va o la spacca" questa settimana.. in pratica quando si dice a un investigatore che non progredisce che non si puo' piu' continuare a fare lezioni. Sarebbe la mia prima volta cosi' non sto morendo dalla voglia di farlo. Ma nessuno e' mai contento di fare quello. Lasciare un investigatore e' tremendamente difficile. Cosi' faremo del nostro meglio per essere gentili e amorevoli e se dobbiamo smettere di insegnare a Vera l'andremo ancora a trovare ogni tanto.

Potremmo dover fare la stessa cosa con Precious. Ha letto un po' del Libro di Mormon ma non e' riuscita a capire che anche se ci sono molte buone chiese nel mondo solo una ha la pienezza del Vangelo ed e' guidata da Gesu' Cristo stesso. E' stato frustrante per noi perche' abbiamo sentito lo Spirito molto forte mentre le insegnavamo ( e lei  lo ha sentito pure) ma sembra che ogni volta che facciamo un passo in avanti con lei, lei poi ne fa due indietro. Le vogliamo molto bene e siamo grandi amiche ma pensiamo che le lezioni devono arrivare ad una conclusione. Vedremo anche qui che cosa succedera'.

Queste sono un po' di notizie tristi ma amo sempre la missione, naturalmente! Con il brutto viene anche il bello. Non vedo l'ora di sapere cosa succedera' questa settimana. :) Alla prossima!
